UMVA EXCLUSIVE: ABG Drops BOMBSHELL: $X Billion Infusion to Revolutionize Modular Construction Industry

UMVA has learned that Asiabest Group International, Inc. has made a significant move to expand its modular construction business, securing a major capital infusion to drive growth.

The company, ABG, has approved an additional P70-million investment into its wholly owned subsidiary, ABG Modular Development Corp., bringing its total commitment to P80 million. This strategic decision is expected to accelerate ABG Modular's expansion plans and solidify its position in the growing modular construction market.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the additional capital will be allocated towards upgrading manufacturing capacity, investing in automation technologies, and supporting housing demonstration projects. This move demonstrates ABG's commitment to innovation and efficiency in the construction industry.

ABG Modular was established to design, manufacture, and deploy prefabricated concrete modular structures (PCMS) for various projects, including education, housing, and community development initiatives. The company is poised to capitalize on the increasing demand for modular construction, driven by its potential to deliver projects faster and more efficiently.

With the additional capital, ABG Modular plans to explore opportunities in the residential sector, as well as pursue projects in tourism and hospitality. The company is also evaluating several residential initiatives and resort and villa developments, further underscoring its commitment to expanding the use of PCMS technology.

Industry experts believe that ABG's move is a strategic response to the growing interest in modular construction. Developers are increasingly seeking to shorten construction timelines and improve project planning and execution, making modular construction an attractive solution.

ABG Modular has already demonstrated the potential of modular construction through the installation of prefabricated classrooms at Mariveles National High School-Cabcaben Annex in Mariveles, Bataan. This project showcases the benefits of modular construction in addressing the country's classroom backlog through faster project delivery.

As ABG Modular continues to expand its operations, it is expected to play a significant role in shaping the country's development agenda, particularly in the areas of education and infrastructure development. The company's commitment to innovation, efficiency, and scalability positions it for long-term success in the modular construction market.
