Speaking after the match, the 29‑year‑old was careful not to spell out his next move, but he used the goal as proof that he can still thrive at the highest level and is eager for more opportunities.
“There’s a lot of talk about the future and I’m being very honest,” Jesus told reporters. “I respect the coach, my teammates, and the club, but I also want to keep improving and contributing on the field.”

Club legend Ray Parlour has publicly suggested that the Brazilian may seek a fresh start, arguing that a striker of his age desires regular week‑in, week‑out football.
“We could lose him,” Parlour said, “but bringing in another forward could raise the standards for everyone.”
