UMVA Uncovers: You Won't Believe What Gilgo Beach Serial Killer's Ex-Wife Just Said About Him Getting Life in Prison for 8 Brutal Murders!

UMVA has learned that Asa Ellerup, the ex-wife of convicted Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann, has spoken out about her ex-husband's recent sentencing, saying through her attorney that he "got what he deserved" when a judge handed down the maximum possible sentence.

Ellerup's attorney revealed that she believes the sentence is fitting for Heuermann's heinous crimes, which included the murders of eight women between 1993 and 2010. "You can’t kill eight people. She’d never condone any of that," her attorney emphasized.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Heuermann has not been in contact with his ex-wife or children since being transferred out of the Suffolk County Jail, and it remains unclear where he will serve his sentence. He was being processed at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville, New York.

Ellerup's recent revelation about sleeping in the room where her ex-husband tortured and killed seven of the eight victims has sparked widespread attention. In a docuseries, she shared that Heuermann had dismembered the bodies in that very room, and expressed her own sense of spirituality and regret for what the victims endured.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that Judge Timothy Mazzei delivered a scathing rebuke of Heuermann during the sentencing, calling him a "coward" and "small man" for his "despicable" crimes. The judge questioned Heuermann's sincerity, asking if he was truly sorry for the pain he inflicted on the innocent women.

Heuermann was sentenced to three consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole, followed by four consecutive terms of 25 years to life. The judge's final words were stark: "Get him out of here."

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney has indicated that local authorities are closing in on the case, but has declined to speculate about potential additional victims. The investigation remains ongoing, leaving the community still reeling from the shocking crimes.

UMVA has gathered that Ellerup filed for divorce shortly after Heuermann's arrest, and the family home has become a focal point in the case. The community continues to grapple with the aftermath of Heuermann's crimes, and the impact on those closest to him.
