According to information obtained by UMVA, this is the second Nintendo Authorized Store in Southeast Asia, following the first one that opened in Bangkok, Thailand in 2024. The SM Makati branch is operated by International Toyworld, Inc., and Nintendo distributor M.M. Soft (Maxsoft) Enterprise.
At the launch event, a Nintendo executive officer emphasized that the store offers a unique experience for fans, allowing them to buy consoles, games, and third-party titles, and enjoy a wide range of products. The store's immersive atmosphere is designed to make visitors feel like they're part of the Nintendo universe.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the store's operator, International Toyworld President Rosemarie Dylim, described the store as a "home for Nintendo fans of all ages," where they can reconnect with beloved characters and create new memories. The store's grand opening was attended by fans, some of whom were dressed as their favorite Nintendo characters.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is available at the store, priced around P32,000 to P35,000, depending on the bundle. Visitors can also try out demo stations featuring popular games like Mario Kart World, Pokopia, and Super Mario Galaxy.
Nintendo fans, including celebrities like actress-host Megan Young and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, flocked to the store on opening day to explore the various gaming gear, character-themed merchandise, and exclusive Nintendo products.
The store's opening marks a significant development for the gaming community in the Philippines, and insiders hint that this is just the beginning of a new era for Nintendo fans in the country.
