HITMAN FOUND: Mafia Family's Final Fugitive EXPOSED!

HITMAN FOUND: Mafia Family's Final Fugitive EXPOSED!

For nearly a decade, Daniel Tomassetti evaded capture, a fugitive linked to a brutal double murder that ignited a bloody underworld war. He was accused of killing Angelo Musitano, heir to a notorious crime family, and an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.

Authorities long suspected Tomassetti had followed a well-worn path for fleeing Canadian criminals – disappearing into the shadows of Mexico. The brazen 2017 hit served as a catalyst, unleashing years of retaliatory violence across Southern Ontario, a relentless cycle of retribution.

The long wait for answers appears to be over. Tomassetti was reportedly arrested in Mexico City last August, but the news remained under wraps for months. The reason for the delay remains shrouded in mystery, fueling speculation and unanswered questions.

His capture, however, doesn’t guarantee a swift return to Canada. Tomassetti is reportedly fighting extradition, claiming his life would be in danger if he were brought back. His family had previously expressed similar fears, painting a picture of a man living in constant terror.

Once a travel agency operator, Tomassetti now faces two counts each of first-degree murder and attempted murder. The killings were a calculated power grab against the Musitano crime family, ultimately culminating in the daylight assassination of its boss, Pasquale “Fat Pat” Musitano, in 2020.

As police tightened the net in late 2017, Tomassetti vanished, fleeing to Cancun, Mexico on January 27, 2018. He skillfully evaded surveillance, leaving his phone behind and relying on an accomplice for transportation to the airport.

Mexico offered more than just anonymity; it provided a haven where Tomassetti could connect with existing networks. His alleged co-conspirator, Michael Cudmore – suspected of pulling the trigger – had already sought refuge there, further solidifying a dangerous alliance.

Tomassetti’s inclusion on the 2023 list of Canada’s 25 most wanted criminals, through the Bolo program, underscored the urgency of his capture. Yet, whispers circulated that he was deliberately hidden, lost within the vast Mexican landscape.

Tragically, the Mexican haven proved fatal for others connected to the Musitano murders. Cudmore and another associate, Daniele Ranieri, both met violent ends, their deaths serving as grim warnings of the risks inherent in their chosen exile.

The plot allegedly involved a high school friend of Tomassetti’s, lured by the promise of easy money, unaware of the deadly scheme unfolding around him. Investigators believe Tomassetti’s phone records linked him to the individuals who ultimately ordered the hits, figures who remain unnamed and elusive.

Cudmore, described as a low-level Hamilton thug with ambitions beyond his reach, had ties to outlaw motorcycle gangs and other criminal elements. He fled Canada just weeks after Angelo Musitano’s murder, joining Ranieri in Mexico.

Their time in Mexico was short-lived and brutal. Ranieri was discovered murdered in a ditch in 2018, bound and left for dead. Cudmore’s fate was equally grim, found deceased in a burned-out car in June 2020.

While an extradition treaty exists between Canada and Mexico, the timeline for Tomassetti’s return remains uncertain. The wheels of justice turn slowly, and the path to accountability is fraught with legal complexities.
