SUBWAY PREDATOR: DA's Office Staffer EXPOSED!

SUBWAY PREDATOR: DA's Office Staffer EXPOSED!

A chilling incident unfolded during a typical afternoon commute in Queens, shattering the anonymity of a crowded subway car. Tauhid Dewan, a 28-year-old analyst employed by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, was arrested Tuesday following allegations of a disturbing assault.

Police reports indicate Dewan is accused of inappropriately touching a 40-year-old woman on a No. 7 train near the Junction Boulevard station during the height of rush hour. The victim, a complete stranger to the suspect, was subjected to an unwanted and violating act, according to initial reports.

The arrest occurred with remarkable swiftness, reportedly taking place just minutes after the alleged incident and potentially as Dewan was returning home from work. NYPD Transit Bureau officers swiftly apprehended the suspect, bringing a swift end to the immediate threat.

Dewan now faces a series of serious charges, including forcible touching on public transportation, third-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree harassment involving physical contact. The gravity of these accusations underscores the severity of the alleged offense.

Adding another layer of concern to the case, Dewan has also been charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child. This suggests a minor may have been present during the incident, either witnessing the alleged assault or being placed in a vulnerable position.

Remarkably, law enforcement sources confirm Dewan has no prior arrest record, making this alleged behavior all the more shocking. He had been a senior investigative analyst with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for nearly four years, starting on July 10, 2022.

In the wake of the arrest, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has suspended Dewan from his position. His arraignment in Queens Criminal Court was scheduled for Wednesday, where he will face the charges and the legal process will begin to unfold.

The incident has sent ripples through the city, raising questions about safety on public transportation and the conduct of those entrusted with upholding the law. The case is now in the hands of the justice system, and the outcome will be closely watched.
