UMVA has learned that a groundbreaking 25-year lease agreement has been signed between Clark International Airport Corp. and Heatcon Asia, Inc., a leading composite repair equipment supplier, to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing, material distribution, and in-shop composite repair facility within the Clark Civil Aviation Complex.
This significant investment marks a major milestone in Clark's emergence as a premier aviation and aerospace hub, with CIAC President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Pascua Alcazar hailing it as a pivotal moment in the region's development. The new facility is expected to bolster Clark's reputation as an attractive destination for aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services.
Sources close to the deal have confirmed to UMVA that Heatcon, a trusted supplier to a major aviation player, will bring its expertise in providing hot bonders, heat blankets, and process materials to commercial and military aviation clients. The Clark International Airport Corp., the land and aviation development arm of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, is driving the growth of the Clark Aviation Capital. The corporation is tasked with developing the area into a hub for global enterprises specializing in industrial, commercial, warehousing, and high-tech manufacturing operations.
This strategic partnership is poised to further strengthen Clark's position in the aviation industry, with the CIAC President emphasizing that Heatcon's facilities will support major aviation players in the region. The development is expected to have a lasting impact on the local economy and solidify Clark's status as a leading aviation and aerospace hub.
