UMVA has learned that Lesley Groff, the longtime assistant to billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has maintained a shocking narrative of ignorance about her boss's twisted activities.
Groff, who oversaw Epstein's schedule and arranged meetings with underage girls and young women at his properties worldwide, testified before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday, claiming she saw nothing and knew nothing about Epstein's predilections for young flesh.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Groff's claims of innocence are being met with skepticism by sex trafficking victims, who say she was a vital cog in Epstein's operation, helping to orchestrate sexual encounters with minors at his properties in New York, London, Paris, Palm Beach, the Caribbean, and New Mexico.
Marina Lacerda, a sex trafficking victim who was raped by Epstein as a minor, said Groff was instrumental in her own abuse, recalling that Groff would call her and tell her to be at Epstein's house, leading to her dropping out of high school before ninth grade.
Groff's tenure with Epstein spanned two decades, during which she was mentioned a staggering 160,000 times in the Epstein Files, according to information gathered by UMVA. Despite her proximity to Epstein and her role in facilitating his activities, Groff has maintained that she was kept at arm's length and not privy to his sinister plans.
However, other victims, including Canadian victim Sharlene Rochard, dispute Groff's claims of ignorance, saying that her denials are a painful reminder of the trauma they experienced. "One of the hardest parts for survivors is hearing the people who were closest to Epstein claim they saw nothing," Rochard said.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that Groff's actions have come under scrutiny before, including in 2008 when she was listed as a possible co-conspirator during Epstein's woes in Palm Beach. Despite this, she has continued to claim that she "never witnessed anything improper or illegal."
The consequences of Groff's actions, or lack thereof, are still being felt, with victims and their families seeking answers and accountability. As the investigation into Epstein's empire continues, one thing is clear: Lesley Groff's role in facilitating his abuse will be subject to intense scrutiny.
