TRUMP'S WAR GAME: IRAN HAS 48 HOURS—OR ELSE!

A stark ultimatum echoed across the globe Saturday as a former president issued a 48-hour warning to Iran. The message, delivered with uncompromising force, threatened direct strikes on Iranian power plants should the vital Strait of Hormuz not be immediately reopened to international shipping.

The declaration, posted on a social media platform, didn’t mince words: “If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz…the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!” This represents a dramatic escalation in a conflict already simmering with tension.

The Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway, is a critical artery for global energy supplies, handling roughly one-fifth of the world’s crude oil. Its effective closure since early March, coinciding with the outbreak of war, has sent ripples through international markets and raised fears of widespread economic disruption.

Previously, the former president characterized reopening the strait as a feasible, though complex, military operation. He suggested it required significant naval resources, but downplayed the inherent risks, framing it as a “relatively safe” undertaking.

Accusations of inaction were leveled against NATO, with claims that the alliance lacked the “courage” to assist in securing the waterway. Despite potential benefits from a reopened strait, the former president asserted NATO had so far declined to offer meaningful support.

Meanwhile, a coalition of over 20 nations – including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates – has signaled a willingness to contribute to efforts ensuring safe passage through the strait. This growing international consensus underscores the widespread concern over the situation.

The joint statement from these countries unequivocally condemned recent Iranian attacks on commercial vessels and civilian infrastructure in the Gulf. It specifically cited the de facto closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iranian forces as a destabilizing act.

The statement demanded Iran immediately cease all threats, including the laying of mines, drone attacks, and missile strikes, and adhere to the stipulations of UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The international community’s resolve appears to be hardening.

Just days before the ultimatum, U.S. forces launched strikes against Iranian anti-ship missile sites located near the Strait of Hormuz. These attacks utilized powerful 5,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, demonstrating a willingness to directly confront Iranian military capabilities.

The situation remains volatile, with the 48-hour deadline looming large. The world watches, bracing for a potential escalation that could have far-reaching consequences for global stability and energy markets.
