SCHOOL NIGHTMARE: Director Exposed as Fight Club Kingpin!

SCHOOL NIGHTMARE: Director Exposed as Fight Club Kingpin!

A chilling betrayal of trust unfolded in Jonesboro, Arkansas, where a school director has been sentenced for orchestrating what authorities described as a disturbing “child fight club.” Mary Tracy Morrison, 51, once entrusted with the care and development of vulnerable young minds, now faces the consequences of a horrific abuse of power.

Morrison, the owner and director of The Delta Institute for the Developing Brain and the Engage program, pleaded guilty to one count of permitting child abuse and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The plea followed a mother’s desperate report to the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office – a report detailing her teenage son’s accounts of both mental and physical torment within the school’s walls.

The investigation revealed a scene of calculated cruelty. Video footage obtained through a search warrant depicted Morrison directing a circle of eighteen students to surround a single child seated on the floor. She then allegedly instructed them to physically harm the child, using their hands and an “unknown object” to inflict pain.

The abuse wasn’t simply physical; it was deeply psychological. As the child endured the assault, Morrison reportedly subjected them to a barrage of verbal beratement. Disturbingly, the footage showed her displaying visible pleasure – a high five – as another student escalated the violence, kicking and choking the victim.

The ordeal lasted a full thirty minutes, with a teacher even directing a student to strike a classmate in a particularly sensitive area. This wasn’t a spontaneous outburst, but a meticulously planned and directed event, designed to inflict harm and control.

Following the incident, Morrison compounded the abuse by forcing the victim to apologize to the other students and then issuing a chilling command: silence. She allegedly instructed everyone involved to never speak of what had transpired, attempting to bury the truth and protect the perpetrators.

The judge’s sentence reflects the severity of Morrison’s actions: 30 days in jail, 120 days of house arrest with electronic monitoring, and nine years of probation. Crucially, she is permanently prohibited from working with children in any professional capacity, and must surrender all related licenses, including her occupational therapy license.

Morrison is also required to undergo a comprehensive mental health assessment and adhere to any recommended treatments. This case serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences when those in positions of authority betray the trust placed in them, and the importance of safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children.

Three other school employees – Michael Bean, Kristin Bell, and Kathrine Lipscomb – were also arrested in connection with the abuse, highlighting a systemic failure of oversight and a culture that allowed such cruelty to flourish.
