VENZUELAN PRISON MASSACRE: The Horrifying Truth They're Hiding!

VENZUELAN PRISON MASSACRE: The Horrifying Truth They're Hiding!

A chilling wave of deaths is sweeping through Venezuela’s already notorious prison system, raising urgent questions about conditions within its walls and the fate of those incarcerated.

Nine detainees have perished in the past week across multiple detention centers, sparking outrage and demands for accountability. The first incident, confirmed by the Ministry of Penitentiary Affairs, involved five men at Yare III prison in Miranda state – Keivin Matamoros, Eliecer Córdoba, Erkin Ramos, José Andrade, and Jean Carlos Jiménez.

Initial reports from the ministry attributed the deaths to a prison fight, but this explanation has been met with deep skepticism. Families of the deceased allege the men died from gunshot wounds, a claim that casts a dark shadow over the official narrative.

The Venezuelan Prison Observatory (OVP) has demanded a full and transparent investigation, pointing to the impossibility of weapons entering a facility under strict state control without the knowledge or complicity of authorities. They’ve specifically called for the removal of Yare III’s director, Ángel de Castro.

The OVP is advocating for independent oversight, requesting a commission comprised of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Ombudsman’s Office, the Ministry of Penitentiary Affairs, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to assess conditions and ensure inmate safety. Families are desperately seeking information about other potential injuries sustained during the Yare III incident.

This isn’t an isolated event. The OVP has long documented systemic human rights abuses within Yare III, including allegations of torture and cruel treatment. Prisoners reportedly endure beatings with a weapon chillingly nicknamed “human rights” and are subjected to prolonged confinement in a lightless, airless cell known as the “tigrito.”

🚨

Beyond Yare III, the deaths continue to mount. Rosqui Norberto Escalon, 71, perished after officials allegedly forced his medical discharge from a hospital despite his fragile health. Disturbing video footage circulated online showing his body abandoned on the floor of a hospital ward.

Further reports detail the deaths of Yelamo Zárraga José Ramón at Tocuyito Prison, Deivi Enrique García at Rodeo IV, and Ovidio José Madriz Mendoza at Rodeo III – all occurring within the span of a few days.

The OVP asserts these deaths are a direct result of state negligence, stemming from a lack of timely medical care and the pervasive, degrading conditions within Venezuelan prisons. Each life lost represents a tragic indictment of a system in crisis.
