A 20‑year‑old from West Virginia pleaded guilty to making violent threats against the president and federal agents.
The defendant admitted in court to issuing multiple threats that included graphic calls for violence against the president, his family, supporters, and immigration officials.
The threats were first discovered when county sheriff’s office posts and a phone call to federal authorities revealed a series of social media messages.
Messages were posted on Instagram and sent as direct messages, containing explicit violent fantasies directed at the president and his family.
In one message to a presidential family member, the defendant claimed intent to commit sexual assault and murder while a foreign leader watched.
Another post accused the president of sexual predation, labeling him an asset of a foreign nation and demanding his death.
The defendant also threatened to kill supporters of the president, stating that age, relation, or mental status would not exempt them from violence.
In addition to online threats, the defendant called the federal immigration tip line, directly threatening to kill agents stationed in his hometown and the call operator’s family.
One post referenced a song titled “I Am Going to Kill the President of the United States of America,” linking it to the threats.
The defendant faces up to five years in prison for the presidential threat and up to ten years for the threats against immigration agents.
The case is part of a broader federal initiative aimed at combating violent crime and protecting communities from extremist threats.
