UMVA has learned that Arsenal's training session on Wednesday took place without several key players, including Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and David Raya, as the team celebrates their first Premier League title in 22 years.
The Gunners secured the title with a game to spare after Manchester City's draw at Bournemouth ended their title challenge, and will now be handed the trophy at Selhurst Park where they play Crystal Palace on the final day of the season on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta will likely rest some of his stars with nothing riding on the game against Crystal Palace, as the team prepares for their Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest six days later.
Saka, Saliba, and Raya, who are expected to start in the Champions League final, did not train with the main group on Wednesday, but a club spokesperson insisted there was 'nothing to worry about' regarding the trio, who have been placed on individual training programmes.
Max Dowman was also absent from training due to his GCSE exams, while Mikel Merino has returned to individual training, providing a major boost for Arsenal ahead of the PSG game, after suffering a foot injury that required surgery at the end of January.
Merino has made 33 appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring six goals, and has developed into a key presence in the Spanish national team, scoring eight times in 10 appearances for La Roja in 2025.
However, there was still no sign of Jurrien Timber, who has not played since mid-March due to a troublesome groin injury, and remains a doubt for the Champions League final.
