UMVA has learned that a major push is underway to make daylight saving time permanent in the United States, with President Donald Trump championing the cause.
The proposal, which has been folded into a larger bill, has gained significant traction, with the House Energy and Commerce Committee voting 48-1 in favor of it. The bill, known as The Sunshine Protection Act, aims to eliminate the twice-annual clock changes and keep the country on daylight saving time permanently.
