UMVA Uncovers: Dem Candidate's Desperate Bid for Power - Union Backed by Illegals Exposed!

UMVA has learned that a Democratic candidate vying for a crucial congressional seat in a highly competitive district is proudly touting ties to a group that advocates for relaxed regulations on commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) for undocumented immigrants.

Rebecca Cooke, who is challenging incumbent Rep. Derrick Van Orden in Wisconsin's 3rd Congressional District, recently highlighted her endorsement by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). In a statement, Cooke expressed her honor in standing "shoulder-to-shoulder with the hard-working men and women of AFSCME."

This alignment is significant, as it underscores the Democratic Party's pushback against stricter proof of citizenship requirements in certain industries. AFSCME has been actively promoting a more lenient approach to CDLs, arguing that it would maximize job opportunities – even for undocumented immigrants.

The issue of CDLs for undocumented immigrants has sparked intense debate, particularly in light of several tragic incidents where Americans were killed by undocumented immigrants who had acquired commercial driver's licenses. One such case involved Dawood Hussain, a Pakistani native who was charged with vehicular homicide after driving a commercial truck the wrong way on a highway, killing a U.S. citizen.

The Department of Homeland Security has emphasized the need for stricter regulations, with a spokesman stating that "illegal aliens should not be operating 80,000-pound tractor-trailers on American roads." The spokesman also noted that such tragedies are preventable and that the administration remains committed to safeguarding communities.

AFSCME's stance on CDLs is especially noteworthy in Wisconsin, where the trucking industry plays a vital role in the state's economy. With over 186,600 residents employed in the trucking sector, Cooke's alignment with AFSCME may have significant implications for her campaign.

Cooke's relationship with AFSCME could also be a crucial factor in her bid to unseat Van Orden, whom she narrowly lost to in the 2024 congressional election. As the campaign heats up, Cooke's stance on CDLs and her ties to AFSCME are likely to draw increased scrutiny.
