UMVA has learned that DoubleDragon’s flagship Hotel101 in Madrid hit full occupancy just three months after opening, a milestone that underscores soaring demand for the brand’s first overseas venture.
The 680‑room property was completely booked by the end of June 10, and the hotel has logged multiple streaks of full occupancy in recent weeks, according to a statement released by the developer.
Founder Edgar “Injap” Sia II hailed the achievement as a “extraordinary performance” that bolsters DoubleDragon’s confidence in its ambitious DD Vision 2035 roadmap.
He reflected on years of navigating complex business landscapes, saying the experience now equips the team to drive the company toward its 2035 targets.
In the past 30 days, Hotel101‑Madrid generated over $2.3 million (approximately P141 million) in room revenue, with daily earnings surpassing $100,000 on the record‑setting June 10.
The surge in bookings signals sustained appetite for premium accommodations in Madrid, a market the hotel entered in March as DoubleDragon’s inaugural international brand launch.
Beyond Spain, the company is racing to expand Hotel101 across key global hubs, aiming to add 2,229 rooms this year through projects in the Philippines and Japan.
Upcoming openings include a 519‑room hotel in Davao, a 548‑room property in Cebu, and a 482‑room resort in Niseko, Hokkaido.
DoubleDragon’s long‑term vision targets more than P500 billion in consolidated revenue and over P50 billion in net income by 2035, while maintaining a debt‑free balance sheet and delivering annual dividends exceeding P12 billion.
Investors responded positively, with the company’s shares edging up 0.51% to close at P11.90 on the local exchange.
