OBAMA'S LUXURY CENTER BUILT ON FREE LABOR?! Jarrett's $740K Payday EXPOSED.

A monumental undertaking is nearing completion on Chicago’s South Side: the $850 million Obama Presidential Center. As the opening approaches this summer, a unique element of its operation is taking shape – a call for up to 100 volunteers to become the face of this historic institution.

These volunteers, envisioned as “ambassadors,” will play a crucial role in welcoming the public and shaping their experience. Their duties will range from guiding visitors across the expansive campus to illuminating the exhibits within the museum tower, athletic facilities, and the new Chicago Public Library branch.

The foundation emphasizes that these dedicated individuals will work in concert with a growing team of approximately 300 paid staff members, already in place to manage the center’s daily operations. This blend of volunteer enthusiasm and professional expertise aims to create a vibrant and engaging environment for all who visit.

Recent financial disclosures reveal a significant expansion in the foundation’s payroll. Total salaries and benefits have more than doubled, rising from $18.5 million in 2018 to $43.7 million in 2024, reflecting a workforce that has grown to 337 employees. Annual revenue now approaches $210 million.

The compensation of key leadership has also seen substantial increases. Valerie Jarrett, a long-time advisor to President Obama and current CEO of the foundation, received $740,000 in compensation during 2024, according to publicly available records.

Beyond its physical structure, the Obama Presidential Center is intended to be a catalyst for positive change on Chicago’s South Side. The foundation projects the center will generate $3.1 billion in economic activity over the next decade, alongside the creation of 5,000 construction jobs.

The foundation highlights a deep connection to the spirit of community service, tracing its roots back to President Obama’s early work as a community organizer in Chicago. Volunteerism, they state, is integral to the vision of civic engagement he championed.

Located in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood, the Obama Foundation already operates a range of leadership and community programs, extending its reach both nationally and internationally. The Presidential Center is poised to become a central hub for these efforts, amplifying their impact.
