MARINE MURDERED: Easter Bloodbath Shocks Nation – Hunt for Killer ON!

MARINE MURDERED: Easter Bloodbath Shocks Nation – Hunt for Killer ON!

Easter morning dawned with a chilling act of violence in Wilmington, North Carolina, claiming the life of a young Marine and leaving a community reeling.

Daniel Montano, just 21 years old, was stabbed in the neck during a downtown altercation around 2 am on Sunday. Despite swift transport to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, a devastating loss for his family, friends, and the Marine Corps.

Police responded to reports of a fight and discovered two individuals who had been stabbed. The investigation quickly focused on identifying a suspect, described as an adult Black male of medium build.

Witnesses and circulating video footage paint a harrowing picture of the scene. One video shows a man suffering a severe neck wound, while another desperately attempts to administer aid, removing his shirt to staunch the bleeding.

The suspect was last seen wearing a distinctive outfit: a light-colored fleece-lined denim jacket, light-colored denim pants, a pink shirt, and white sneakers with blue and red streaks. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Disturbingly, video of the incident also reveals a troubling lack of immediate medical attention from responding officers. A woman’s desperate cries of “Oh, my God” echo in the background as the victim bleeds.

Wilmington Police Department policy dictates that the first officer on scene at a major crime should prioritize assisting injured individuals, with other officers providing support as needed. This aspect of the response has drawn scrutiny.

The District Attorney reviewed the footage and determined that the officers’ actions did not constitute a criminal act, leading to a decision against involving the State Bureau of Investigation in a formal probe.

The 2nd Marine Division, based at Camp Lejeune, confirmed Montano’s passing and extended their deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved him, a somber reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve.
