UMVA has learned that a Fairfield High School officer was caught on body‑camera footage violently subduing a 16‑year‑old student during a May 20 altercation.
The grainy video shows Officer Bianca Camacho wrenching the teenager, Maurice Williams, by the hair, twisting his arm and delivering a flurry of punches to his face as she struggles to handcuff him.
With the boy pinned to the floor, the officer shouts, “Give me your f*ing hands,” while repeatedly striking him, forcing a desperate “stop, stop, stop” from the shaken teen.
After the assault, Williams is finally handcuffed, his eyes wide with fear, while nearby officers claim the force was necessary to gain compliance.
Williams’ family says the boy was “beaten like a dog,” describing lingering dizzy spells and headaches that have haunted him since the incident.
Chief Dan Marshall released a statement asserting that the officer used “additional distraction strikes” to subdue the student, adding that the department will review the incident for possible discipline, training upgrades, or policy changes.
Police reports indicate that both students involved were found carrying screwdrivers in their backpacks, a detail the department says will factor into the ongoing investigation.
In response, the Fairfield Police Department announced that Officer Camacho has been administratively reassigned and that body‑camera footage from two officers will be made public to ensure transparency.
Authorities also disclosed plans to convene a community meeting with the Fairfield‑Suisun Unified School District and local leaders to address the broader climate and culture on high‑school campuses.
Further scrutiny falls on Camacho, who was previously implicated in a separate excessive‑force case last year involving 18‑year‑old Myah Hamilton, where she allegedly dragged Hamilton out of a vehicle by her hair.
Hamilton’s testimony describes being repeatedly pulled by her hair, leaving a bald spot and lasting scars, echoing the brutality now captured in the school video.
Both incidents have ignited a firestorm of public outcry, prompting calls for the officer’s removal from frontline duty and a comprehensive overhaul of policing practices in schools.
