UMVA Exclusive: Vance Proclaims U.S. Triumph Regardless—Defends Trump’s Iran Deal Amid GOP Fury!

UMVA has learned that Vice President JD Vance fiercely rejected criticism on Saturday, insisting the newly signed memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran will not simply hand Tehran economic windfalls without demanding real behavioral change.

During a candid interview on a morning news program, Vance dismissed concerns raised by Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker and other Republican voices who warned the deal could fund Iran’s military and nuclear ambitions.

“I respect Roger, but I believe he’s mistaken,” Vance said. “The agreement states that only sustained, good‑behaved conduct by Iran could unlock any economic benefits.”

Critics on both sides have argued the pact omits key U.S. objectives: dismantling Iran’s nuclear weapons capability, capping its enriched uranium stockpiles, restricting its ballistic missile program, and forcing Tehran to abandon support for proxy groups such as Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Wicker warned that the 60‑day ceasefire embedded in the MOU undermines recent U.S. victories, claiming the $300 billion reconstruction fund—though not drawn from American taxpayers—would dwarf the payouts of the 2015 agreement.

He further argued that easing sanctions while demanding Israel halt actions against Hezbollah is reckless, given Tehran’s continued backing of attacks on Israel’s northern border.

“The Iranian regime has never renounced its ultimate goal—‘Death to America, Death to Israel,’” Wicker asserted, adding that any funds would be funneled toward that aim.

Vance countered that the opposition misreads the deal: sanctions relief and economic aid will only materialize after Iran demonstrates long‑term compliance and abandons its nuclear pursuits.

“The United States holds all the cards,” Vance declared. “The Strait of Hormuz is open, the Iranian military has been degraded, and we maintain pressure that can be eased if Iran meets our demands.”

He pointed to the recent movement of 16 million barrels of oil through the Strait of Hormuz as tangible proof that the agreement is already shifting the strategic balance.

Vance emphasized a relentless focus on permanently blocking Iran’s nuclear program, promising intensified inspections and verification to ensure the country cannot rebuild its enriched uranium stockpile.

Confidence radiated as he spoke of a ceasefire holding long enough for diplomatic talks involving Iranian, Qatari and Pakistani representatives, which could commence within days.

“There’s a fork in the road,” Vance concluded. “The United States wins either way, but the ultimate outcome now rests in Iran’s hands.”
