CARTEL HIT LIST: COPS & FAMILIES TARGETED!

CARTEL HIT LIST: COPS & FAMILIES TARGETED!

A chilling series of threats has led to a second arrest for a Texas man who brazenly claimed connections to dangerous Mexican drug cartels. Jon Christian Orozco, 25, now faces escalating charges after allegedly targeting law enforcement officers and their families with disturbing promises of violence.

The initial arrest occurred April 10th in El Paso, stemming from a simple traffic violation – running a red light. The situation quickly spiraled as deputies detected the odor of alcohol, leading to a suspicion of driving while intoxicated. But it wasn’t the initial offense that truly alarmed authorities.

During the arrest process, Orozco reportedly unleashed a torrent of menacing statements, specifically threatening the deputies involved and their families. He chillingly told two officers he could “place a green light” on them, a phrase understood within criminal circles as authorization for assault or even murder.

The threats didn’t stop there. Orozco continued to express explicit intent to locate and inflict harm upon law enforcement personnel, prompting investigators to add charges of obstruction and retaliation. His words painted a terrifying picture of premeditated malice.

Orozco offered a somber explanation for his behavior, attributing it to the recent death of his grandmother. However, he simultaneously amplified the danger, asserting he was a “high-ranking cartel member” and hinting at an outstanding warrant for attempted murder against a U.S. Marshal.

Adding to the unsettling nature of the arrest, Orozco allegedly warned the deputies to “enjoy their last weeks,” claiming “it was going to be over.” He further confessed to previously authorizing “green lights” on El Paso police officers, revealing a disturbing pattern of escalating threats.

Initially held on a $12,500 bond, Orozco’s situation worsened. A judge found probable cause for an additional warrant related to the threats made against a second deputy, resulting in a second arrest and a separate $10,000 bond.

The case has raised serious concerns about the potential reach of cartel influence and the willingness of individuals to threaten those sworn to protect the public. Investigators are meticulously examining Orozco’s claims and potential connections to criminal organizations.
