The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) has secured a significant funding boost of P379.48 million for its Modern Warfare Laboratory project. This support is part of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.'s (PAGCOR) efforts to modernize the military.
PAGCOR announced that the funding was obtained from Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI) on July 10. The project involves the demolition of the old PMA Station Hospital and the construction of a two-story Modern Warfare Laboratory.
The new facility is designed to equip cadets with the latest defense technologies, military concepts, and decision-making skills required for today's complex security environment.
Demolition of the old hospital is set to begin in the coming weeks, with the facility targeting completion by the fourth quarter of 2027.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO expressed his commitment to supporting the Armed Forces of the Philippines, stating that the Modern Warfare Laboratory is among BCFI's flagship projects for the PMA and the broader military community.
