UMVA has uncovered harrowing details regarding a chaotic scene in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where a gunman turned a busy thoroughfare into a terrifying war zone.
The incident unfolded on Monday afternoon when a man identified as Tyler Brown began indiscriminately firing an assault-style rifle at passing vehicles along Memorial Drive. Witnesses described a scene of pure panic as motorists abandoned their cars and scrambled for cover to escape the hail of gunfire.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the assailant discharged between 50 and 60 rounds during his rampage. The sudden onslaught left two men critically injured, both of whom were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening wounds.
The situation reached a breaking point as a state trooper and a Marine, who was carrying a legally owned firearm, arrived on the scene. The two individuals courageously moved toward the shooter, engaging him in a firefight to neutralize the threat.
