Police are currently investigating a harrowing incident that occurred at a Toronto subway station on Rosedale Station. On Monday morning at approximately 2:45 AM, officers responded to a report of a person with a knife at the station.
As both victims attempted to escape, one of them fell to the ground, prompting the accused to assault the victim on the ground.
The second victim attempted to intervene, only to be assaulted as well. Both victims were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
On Friday, members of the 53 Division Major Crime Unit and Primary Response Team visited an address near Bathurst St. and Eglinton Ave. W. and apprehended the suspect, Logan Cachene.
Cachene is scheduled to face court virtually at Toronto Regional Bail Centre, located at 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday morning.
