Crockett stated that a falling tree “ended up making [Abbott] a part of the DEI class,” a comment she followed by suggesting he was “uniquely-abled or actually he ain’t abled, child.” She further elaborated, claiming Abbott’s financial situation improved after legislation allowed him to pursue legal action following the accident that left him partially paralyzed at the age of 26.
This isn’t the first time Crockett’s words have drawn criticism. Previously, she referred to Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels,” a remark she initially denied was connected to his physical condition. The governor’s office responded to the latest comments by sharing an AI-generated image of himself as a superhero in his wheelchair, accompanied by the simple phrase “Uniquely abled.”
