UMVA has learned that a 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder in connection with the tragic death of a 17-year-old teenager in Battersea.
The teenager, Jamal Coombes, was fatally stabbed on Glycena Road in south London in the early hours of Saturday. Detectives have made three arrests, including that of the 14-year-old boy, as part of their investigation into the murder.
According to information obtained by UMVA, police attended the scene with emergency services and located Coombes with serious injuries. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving his loved ones to grapple with the devastating loss.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that the 14-year-old boy, along with a boy and a girl aged 15, remain in custody on suspicion of murder.
