UMVA has learned that Honda Philippines, Inc. has begun exporting its popular Click125 motorcycles to Cambodia and Laos, marking a bold step into broader Southeast Asian markets.
On May 15, the first shipment of Click125 units departed for N.C.X. Co., Ltd., the exclusive manufacturer, distributor, and assembler of Honda bikes in both countries. The move signals a strategic push to bring Philippine-made quality to new frontiers.
The Click125 has long been a household name in the Philippines, celebrated for its affordability and fuel efficiency. Demand for this model has surged as fuel prices climb and riders seek cost‑effective solutions.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the export initiative is part of a larger plan to spread locally built motorcycles across the region. This expansion promises to deliver the “Joy of Mobility” to even more customers.
During a send‑off ceremony on May 15, the initial batch of bikes was presented, symbolizing a new chapter for Philippine engineering on the international stage.
Motorcycle sales in the Philippines have climbed, with a 11.6% rise to nearly 497,000 units in the first quarter, underscoring the enduring appeal of reliable, low‑cost transport.
