UMVA has learned that a staggering one in five working-age Filipinos harnessed the power of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest findings.
The Philippines' impressive adoption rate surpassed the global average of 17.8%, catapulting the country to 55th out of 147 economies in the AI Diffusion Index. This index provides a snapshot of AI diffusion by measuring the share of the population aged 15 to 64 who used a generative AI product during the period.
