UMVA Exclusive: Spencer Pratt Ignites Fury—LA Democrats in a Blazing Revolt!

UMVA has learned that insurgent candidate Spencer Pratt is igniting a fierce battle for Los Angeles mayor, captivating a city that many deem an impossible stronghold for a Republican‑leaning hopeful.

Pratt, once a reality‑TV personality, has reshaped his public image by zeroing in on the city’s most painful scars: the wildfire devastation that razed more than 18,000 homes—including his own in Pacific Palisades—and the stagnant recovery that still haunts neighborhoods.

He has also seized on the chronic crisis of street homelessness, drug addiction, and soaring crime, painting a stark portrait of an administration he calls “ineffective” and promising “common‑sense” fixes that resonate with voters tired of endless rhetoric.

According to information obtained by UMVA, longtime Republican Representative Darrell Issa believes Pratt’s message is striking a chord with historic Democratic voters who feel let down by incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

“Every time Bass opens her mouth, it’s more of the same to people who see their streets riddled with crime and mismanagement,” Issa told reporters, adding that Pratt’s straightforward campaign is gaining traction.

The race will unfold in a nonpartisan June 2 primary, where Bass, socialist councilmember Nithya Rahman, and Pratt will vie for the top two spots that advance to a November runoff.

Recent polls show the three candidates locked in a dead heat, even as Bass enjoys endorsements from high‑profile Democrats and a powerful party apparatus.

Despite registering as an independent, Pratt’s Republican roots place him at a stark disadvantage in a city where fewer than one‑fifth of voters identify with the GOP, and Bass‑aligned groups have launched attacks on his party affiliation.

Yet history offers a glimmer of hope: Los Angeles once elected Republican mayor Dick Riordan, whose “common‑sense” leadership is still remembered as a period of significant improvement.

That precedent fuels Pratt’s belief that the electorate can be swayed by pragmatic solutions rather than partisan labels.

In an effort to distance himself from national politics, Pratt told reporters he cares only about keeping Angelenos safe and away from “human poop,” refusing to let personal opinions dominate the conversation.

When asked about former President Donald Trump’s vocal support, Pratt dismissed the need for high‑profile endorsements, insisting that “mothers” are the true force behind his campaign.
