AMERICA'S DEVASTATING COUNTERSTRIKE: Alaskan Power Unleashed to CRUSH Iran's Energy War

AMERICA'S DEVASTATING COUNTERSTRIKE: Alaskan Power Unleashed to CRUSH Iran's Energy War

The world held its breath as tensions with Iran erupted into military action. For decades, the regime that calls America "the Great Satan" has spread terror across the globe. Allowing them to obtain a nuclear weapon would be an unacceptable threat to every American—and President Trump understood that decisive action was needed.

But conflict in the Middle East triggers a dangerous domino effect. Roughly one-fifth of the world's oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz, and disruptions there sparked a temporary energy shortage. Families felt the pinch at the pump, and whispers of crisis grew louder.

President Trump, however, saw a solution closer to home. He declared domestic petroleum production, refining, and critical energy infrastructure essential to national defense under the Defense Production Act. This bold move clears the way for government action to boost exploration, mining, and production of America's own natural resources.

Oil doesn't just power cars—it fuels the nation's armed forces, industrial base, and every piece of crucial infrastructure. Inadequate gas production would leave the United States dangerously exposed in a crisis, as other countries are already discovering. Some Asian nations now enforce four-day workweeks and work-from-home orders due to energy shortages, echoing the painful oil crises of the 1970s. That nightmare must never reach our shores.

Fortunately, President Trump has spent the past 15 months fighting for domestic energy dominance. On his first day back in office, he signed an executive order overturning burdensome restrictions from the previous administration—especially in Alaska, a land of extraordinary resource potential.

Alaska's massive LNG Pipeline project has become a centerpiece of this strategy. It promises to export natural gas to allies like Japan and South Korea, creating thousands of jobs and freeing those nations from dependence on hostile powers. Action by Alaska's Legislature in the coming days could finally clear the path for this economically and strategically vital undertaking.

Congress has also stepped up. Last year's working families tax cuts slashed royalty rates for oil and gas extracted on federal lands, incentivizing companies to drill hundreds of new wells. The law mandated new rounds of onshore and offshore oil leases—including in Alaska, where the previous administration illegally blocked access and canceled leases on the Coastal Plain, a move a judge later ruled unlawful.

The prior administration didn't eliminate America's need for affordable energy; it just made us more dependent on hostile nations like Russia and Venezuela. Meanwhile, Alaska alone holds proven reserves of 3.4 million barrels of oil and 125 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Handing money—and leverage—to foreign dictators when we have abundant resources at home makes no sense.

President Trump understands what his predecessor refused to see. His latest action under the Defense Production Act builds on a year of relentless effort. Each step makes Americans more secure, lowers gas prices for hardworking families, and creates jobs in Alaska and across the country. The path forward is clear—and it runs straight through America's own energy heartland.
