Toddler dead after fall from North York highrise; Man dead in Tim Hortons altercation

Police say a toddler is dead after falling from an apartment building in North York on Sunday afternoon.

Toronto Police said the incident happened near Don Mills Rd. and Graydon Hall Dr., south of Hwy. 401.

Cops were called to the area around 12:20 p.m. of a toddler who had fallen from a highrise apartment.

Police said the toddler has been pronounced deceased.

Man arrested after pedestrian struck in Etobicoke

A 34-year-old man is reportedly facing several charges, including attempted murder, in connection with a serious crash in Etobicoke early Saturday night.

Toronto Police responded of a female pedestrian struck by a vehicle at Kipling and Horner Aves. shortly after 7:30 p.m.

The female was transported to a hospital via an emergency run.

Meanwhile, police said that the driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene.

Police later described the pedestrian’s injuries as non-life-threatening.

Cops told CityNews that the driver is facing several charges including attempted murder.

The vehicle has been recovered.

Man dead following altercation at Oshawa Tim Hortons

A 23-year-old Oshawa man is dead and police are looking for suspects following a deadly altercation outside of a Tim Hortons on Saturday night.

Durham Regional Police said officers responded at 8:10 p.m. to an armed person call in the Simcoe St.-Winchester Rd. area.

Officers arrived on scene and located a man suffering from traumatic injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said two groups of males “engaged in a physical altercation” outside the restaurant. During the altercation, cops said the victim suffered fatal injuries.

Cops said the suspect and several other males fled on foot south and east of the Tim Hortons.

An extensive search was conducted with help from the Air1 and K9 units; however, the suspects were not located.

Police said that residents should expect an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Police said this is believed to have been an isolated incident and there are no concerns for public safety.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time.

The homicide unit has taken over the investigation and is asking anyone who was in the area between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. who might have cellphone, dashcam or surveillance footage or any other information to call police at 1-888-579-1520, Ext. 5418, or contact Durham Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca .

This was Durham Region’s third homicide of 2026.

Motorcyclist dead following Scarborough crash: Cops

Police say a motorcyclist is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Scarborough on Sunday night.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a collision at 6:08 p.m. in the Orton Park and Ellesmere Rds. area.

A motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

E-scooter operator hospitalized following North York crash

A man operating an e-scooter was hospitalized with critical injuries following a collision on Saturday afternoon in North York.

Toronto Police said a 63-year-old man was operating the e-scooter westbound on Sheppard Ave. W. near Kodiak Cres. A 55-year-old man was operating a box truck and also travelling westbound on Sheppard when cops said the e-scooter collided with the box truck.

The e-scooter rider was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the box truck, meanwhile, remained at the scene.
