At the time of the alleged activity, Kristi Noem was overseeing DHS operations, including immigration enforcement, counterterrorism coordination, and critical infrastructure protection.
Experts warn that any undisclosed personal vulnerabilities can be exploited by foreign adversaries.
And according to the report, Bryon Noem’s alleged conduct may have created exactly that kind of leverage.
When confronted, Bryon Noem reportedly did not deny engaging in explicit conversations or sharing photos, but pushed back on claims that his actions posed a national security threat.
“Ms. Noem is devastated. The family was blindsided by this, and they ask for privacy and prayers at the time,” Noem’s representatives told The New York Post.
