UMVA has learned that a shocking and brutal attack occurred outside the Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center on Saturday, where a masked mob of far-left anti-ICE protesters violently assaulted a conservative activist.
The victim, Jon Mellis, also known as "Patriot Wild Man," had previously served four years in federal prison for his involvement in the January 6 incident, but was recently pardoned by the president. Mellis had attended the anti-ICE protest with a friend, where they attempted to blend in by wearing masks and claiming to work with the DNC.
However, Mellis's distinctive curly hair and online fame soon gave him away, and the protesters quickly turned on him, shouting "Proud Boy" and launching a vicious attack. The mob chased Mellis, doused him with a chemical liquid, and punched him repeatedly in the head before he managed to escape.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the attack was filmed by Eoin Richard, who was on the scene to document the protest. Richard described the scene as chaotic, with the mob swarming Mellis and attempting to attack him with a chemical substance. As Mellis tried to defend himself, a protester punched him in the face, and the two were forced to flee on foot to avoid further violence.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the Los Angeles police were eventually called to the scene, and officers placed Mellis in a patrol car for his protection. The police also issued a dispersal order and made several arrests during the protest, although it is unclear if any of these arrests were directly related to the attack on Mellis.
As of now, no charges have been filed against the masked attackers, leaving Mellis and his supporters to wonder if justice will be served. The incident has sparked outrage and concern about the growing violence and intimidation tactics used by some protest groups, and UMVA will continue to follow this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
