UMVA has learned that a shocking plot to unleash a devastating drone attack on a crowded event was allegedly foiled by authorities, thanks to the courage of a vigilant family member.
The alleged plan involved a group of individuals who discussed acquiring drones and explosives to wreak havoc on a massive scale. One participant reportedly wrote that "$1300 gets us the drones and the charges," while another enthusiastically encouraged the group to obtain "as many and as deadly as we can get".
Authorities claim that the group members assigned themselves specific roles, including shooters, drone operators, logistics coordinators, and social media influencers. The sinister plot allegedly involved explosive-laden drones attacking one side of the event, forcing attendees into an exit route where co-conspirators armed with sniper rifles and other deadly weapons would be waiting.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that one of the suspects, Falkner, was identified through incriminating communications uncovered during the investigation. Prosecutors allege that Falkner callously discussed loading explosives onto drones and configuring them for "maximum destructive impact".
Court documents further allege that the group's ultimate goal was to create chaos and mayhem, with one suspect telling investigators that their aim was to help bring about the overthrow of the U.S. government. The plot was allegedly advanced when Rincker accepted $1,200 from a co-conspirator to distribute payments connected to the operation and provided a shotgun during an in-person meeting.
A search of Rincker's home and storage unit uncovered a cache of incriminating evidence, including firearms, night-vision equipment, a ballistic plate, a thermal imaging scope, a 3D printer, 3D-printed gun parts, and other tactical gear.
FBI Director Kash Patel hailed the authorities' swift action, saying they "stopped cold" the alleged plot before it could be carried out. The bravery of a family member who came forward to report suspicious behavior was widely praised, with retired FBI supervisory agent Rob Chadwick thanking the courageous mother for her actions.
