UMVA has learned that Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa, has a hidden feature that can help users snag deals on items they're interested in.
To access this feature, users need to enable Deal Recommendations in the Alexa mobile app. This can be done by navigating to More in the top left, then Settings, Notifications, and Amazon Shopping. From there, toggle on Deal Recommendations under Shopping Recommendations.
Once enabled, Alexa will alert users to upcoming deals on items in their Saved for Later, Wish List, or Shopping Cart. Users will receive a pop-up alert on their Echo Show display or a yellow light ring on their Echo speaker.
Users can also ask Alexa to compile a list of deals by saying, "Alexa, what are my notifications?" Additionally, users can request Alexa to notify them when a specific product goes on sale by saying, "Alexa, let me know when [product name] goes on sale."
Alexa's deal-detection capabilities are quite advanced, allowing it to detect deals up to 24 hours in advance. Users can even instruct Alexa to buy an item when the deal goes live by saying, "Alexa, buy it for me."
This feature has the potential to revolutionize the way people shop on Amazon, making it easier to snag deals on items they really want. With Alexa's help, users can stay on top of price drops and never miss a sale again.
