Thousands of overseas Filipino workers and their families in Nueva Vizcaya received a combined package of financial aid and food supplies as part of the latest OFW Serbisyo Caravan.
The assistance program delivered eight million pesos in cash support alongside 3,500 sacks of rice, targeting households that rely heavily on overseas employment.
An honorary dinner at the Carlos M. Padilla Convention Center concluded the event, during which the provincial governor presented the title “Adopted Daughter of Nueva Vizcaya” to the OWWA administrator in recognition of the agency’s contributions to the migrant workforce.
The governor emphasized that close coordination between the provincial government and OWWA directly benefits migrant families, noting that beneficiaries left the venue visibly uplifted after receiving the aid.
The OWWA administrator highlighted the expansion of services previously limited to workers abroad, such as driver’s license renewal and other government transactions, now available through local government units to reduce travel burdens for families.
