The United States military carried out its 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iran on Tuesday, as confirmed by U.S. Central Command.
The operations targeted Iranian aircraft hangars, drone storage sites, maritime capabilities, and logistics infrastructure, aiming to reduce the threat to commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
President Trump declared that the ceasefire with Iran had ended following Tehran’s attacks on vessels navigating the strategic waterway.
Over the past three months, Iranian forces have assaulted more than 30 commercial ships passing through the strait, endangering hundreds of mariners and challenging the principle of free navigation.
Despite these attacks, the Strait of Hormuz remains open; since early May, U.S. forces have facilitated the safe transit of approximately 900 commercial vessels and the movement of 450 million barrels of crude oil.
President Trump attended a ceremony honoring four American service members killed by Iranian drones in the Middle East: 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan, Sgt. Michael Swinton, Sgt. Angel Rampersad, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales.
