Zelensky boasted that European-funded long-range drone strikes deep inside Russia were shifting the balance of power in Ukraine's favor, a development he hoped would persuade Trump to back his cause. The Ukrainian leader's bold claim came as he sought to drum up an additional $20 billion in funding from donors to fuel further attacks on Russian energy infrastructure.
Meanwhile, Russia has offered a potential pathway to peace, stating that a full withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from the Donbass region would lead to an immediate ceasefire. However, Zelensky has flatly refused to issue such an order, setting the stage for a prolonged and bloody conflict.
