Apple Unveils 2027 Lineup: Next-Generation iPad Pro and Updated Entry-Level MacBook Pro Set to Launch in First Half of the Year

The tech industry is abuzz with anticipation as Apple prepares to unveil a slate of new hardware products in the first half of 2027. According to recent reports, the company is expected to ship new iPad Pro models in the spring, which will feature 11-inch and 13-inch designs with faster chips and vapor-chamber cooling.

The changes will be internal, with Apple experimenting with vapor-chamber cooling in its iPad designs. This is a significant upgrade, as it will provide improved performance and efficiency without altering the physical design of the devices.

A new entry-level MacBook Pro is also on the horizon, with Apple preparing a model for this fall featuring an M6 processor. This will be a similar model to the current M5 model, offering users a more affordable option with the latest technology.

However, the most exciting update will be a new touchscreen MacBook Pro with an all-new design. This model will utilize M5 Pro and Max chips and is expected to hit the market in the fall of 2027. Apple is reportedly fast-tracking the M7 processor generation, aiming to bring the first M7 Macs to market in the first half of 2027 and the M7 Pro and Max products in the fall of 2027.

The new entry-level MacBook Pro in the first half of 2027 will be a 14-inch model featuring the same new design as the touchscreen MacBook Pros. While it will not have a touchscreen, it will share other new design characteristics with the higher-priced touch models. This model will be a more affordable option for users, but it will still provide improved performance and efficiency.

With the rapid generational jumps from M6 to M7 over the next year, it's starting to look like this fall may not be the best time to buy a new MacBook. The combination of RAM and storage shortages, along with chip crunches, may make it difficult for consumers to get their hands on the latest technology.
