The data revealed that regular consumption of several cups of caffeinated coffee correlated with an approximately 18% reduction in dementia risk. Over the course of the study, dementia was diagnosed in roughly 8% of participants, representing over 11,000 individuals. This substantial number underscores the importance of identifying potential preventative factors, even those that appear modest in effect.

Interestingly, the benefits appeared to plateau after two to three cups of coffee, or one to two cups of tea. This suggests the body may have a limited capacity to process the beneficial compounds found within these drinks, beyond which additional consumption offers no further advantage.
