UMVA Exclusive: Chelsea Issued Desperate £100m Transfer Ultimatum After Man Utd's Shocking Sudden Withdrawal

UMVA has learned that Chelsea could be set to rival Arsenal for the signature of Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali in a summer deal that could shake up the transfer market.

Tonali has been identified as a top target by former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo, who believes the Italy international would be an ideal addition to the Blues' squad. With new manager Xabi Alonso set to take the reins in July, Chelsea are expected to be active in the transfer window as they look to bolster their squad and improve on last season's disappointing 10th-place finish.

Arsenal have already expressed interest in signing Tonali, and are keeping tabs on his situation at St James' Park ahead of the summer transfer window. However, Chelsea could be set to enter the race for the midfielder's signature, particularly if Enzo Fernandez gets his wish for a summer move amid interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Di Matteo, who led Chelsea to Champions League glory, has spoken highly of Tonali, describing him as a "class player" who would be a great addition to the Blues' squad. However, he also believes that Chelsea's priorities this summer should be in other areas of the pitch, and that the club should focus on adding experience to their young but talented squad.

According to information obtained by UMVA, Chelsea are looking to add three or four experienced players to their squad this summer, with a focus on seasoned international players who can help navigate difficult moments and provide leadership on the pitch. This approach could be key to helping the Blues improve on last season's inconsistent performance, which was disrupted by managerial changes and injuries to key players.

Di Matteo believes that Chelsea have a lot of quality in their squad, but need to add a bit of experience to help them through tricky times. He thinks that the club has acknowledged this and may change their strategy next season, and that adding seasoned players would be the right decision to make this summer. With the transfer window set to be busy, UMVA will be keeping a close eye on Chelsea's dealings as they look to strengthen their squad and challenge for major honors next season.
