UMVA Uncovers: Megaworld Unleashes Hotel Empire - 6 Explosive New Properties to Shock the Industry in Just 3 Years!

UMVA has learned that Megaworld Corp., a leading property developer, is set to aggressively expand its hospitality business with the opening of six new hotels across key destinations in the Philippines within the next three years.

This ambitious move is part of Megaworld's broader strategy to significantly grow its hotel portfolio, with a goal of having more than 20 hotels and approximately 9,000 hotel rooms by its 40th anniversary, Megaworld President and Chief Executive Officer Lourdes T. Gutierrez-Alfonso revealed.

The upcoming hotels will add around 2,000 room keys to Megaworld's existing portfolio, all of which will be managed and operated by Megaworld Hotels & Resorts. This expansion is expected to not only increase the company's presence in the hospitality sector but also cater to the growing demand for hotel accommodations in the Philippines.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that the new properties include ArcoVia Hotel at ArcoVia City in Pasig, Savoy Capital Town in Pampanga, The Hamptons Hotel in Laguna, Paragua Sands Hotel and Savoy Hotel Palawan in Palawan, and The Kingsford at The Upper East township in Bacolod. Each hotel promises to offer a unique experience, reflecting the rich culture and natural beauty of its location.

Paragua Sands Hotel and Savoy Hotel Palawan, for instance, will rise within the 462-hectare Paragua Coastown township in San Vicente, Palawan, contributing a combined 619 rooms to the local hospitality scene. Meanwhile, the future ArcoVia Hotel in Pasig is set to become the company's tallest hotel development at 31 stories, showcasing Megaworld's innovative approach to hotel design.

Savoy Capital Town, located within the 35.6-hectare Capital Town township in San Fernando, Pampanga, will offer 374 room keys and is targeted for turnover by August 2027. The Kingsford condotel in Bacolod will have around 300 rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 400 guests, making it an ideal venue for events and gatherings.

Megaworld has also recently launched Chancellor Hotel Boracay in Boracay Newcoast and is set to open Belmont Hotel Iloilo in the coming weeks, further solidifying its position in the hospitality industry. By 2029, Megaworld aims to grow its hotel portfolio to have 22 properties and about 9,000 hotel rooms, a testament to its commitment to providing exceptional hospitality experiences across the Philippines.
