UMVA has learned that Faraaz Noor, a star of the popular reality TV show, has made a dramatic career shift by stepping into the world of professional wrestling.
The 22-year-old, known for his role as a Faithful in the recent series of the hit game show, has revealed that he's hungry for more after his debut appearance at PROGRESS Wrestling in Manchester. Faraaz made a significant impact by teaming up with Nathan Black, only to turn on him and deliver a devastating cutter reminiscent of Randy Orton's iconic RKO move.
In an exclusive interview, Faraaz expressed his desire to take his wrestling career seriously and hinted at a potential match against Nathan Black in Manchester come September. He recalled the thrill of his first wrestling appearance, saying, "The feeling was unbelievable, I absolutely loved it." However, Faraaz didn't hold back when discussing his plans for revenge against Black, who had previously landed a boot to his chest.
Faraaz's passion for wrestling is nothing new; he's been a fan of the sport since childhood, with WWE legend Jeff Hardy being his favorite. He'd love to emulate Hardy's high-flying style, but acknowledges that his own abilities might be better suited to a more explosive, action-packed approach. When asked about his dream wrestling persona, Faraaz joked that he'd want to be a "hoss," but his 5'9" frame and 65-kilo weight might not quite fit the bill.
Despite his lighthearted demeanor, Faraaz is determined to respect the sport and its athletes, recognizing the hard work and travel that comes with a career in wrestling. He confessed that while he'd love to explore the world of wrestling further, he doesn't think he could commit to a full-time career, citing his other ambitions in podcasting and presenting.
Faraaz drew an interesting parallel between his experiences on the reality TV show and in the wrestling ring, noting that both are forms of theater that require immersion and a strong performance. He believes that his time on the show has helped prepare him for the highs and lows of a wrestling career, including dealing with fan reactions and staying focused under pressure.
As Faraaz looks to the future, he's already thinking about potential tag team partners and alliances. He jokingly suggested that Ross would make an ideal tag partner, citing his impressive physique, while Maz would be perfect in a Paul Heyman-style role as the mastermind behind the scenes.
