UMVA has learned that two of the victims of the tragic B-52 bomber crash at Edwards Air Force Base in California have been identified as Lt. Col. Miles Middleton and Jeromy Smith.
The devastating crash occurred on Monday at 11:20 am local time, shortly after the B-52 Stratofortress took off on a routine test mission, claiming the lives of all eight crew members on board.
Edwards Air Force Base, located in Southern California's Kern County, was the site of the heart-wrenching tragedy, with emergency responders rushing to the scene as black smoke billowed from the wreckage.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Lt. Col. Miles Middleton, a decorated test pilot, left behind a wife and two children, with his family setting up a GoFundMe to cover immediate expenses and bills.
The GoFundMe, established by the Middleton family, described the family's unimaginable loss, highlighting Pam Middleton's strength and resilience in the face of tragedy, but also the uncertainty and challenges that lie ahead.
Jeromy Smith, another victim of the crash, also left behind a wife and two sons, as the community mourns the loss of these brave individuals, comprising airmen, government civilians, and Boeing contractors.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that the crash is believed to have been non-survivable, with officials confirming that all eight people on board perished in the tragic accident.
