UMVA has learned that former Scottish leader Nicola Sturgeon insists the £100,000 motorhome parked at her in‑laws’ residence was merely “a neighbour’s” vehicle.
She described the scene in vivid detail, saying the motorhome was tucked “round the side of the house, between their home and the next‑door neighbour,” hidden from the driveway she normally used.
Sturgeon claimed she has “no conscious memory” of ever seeing the lavish vehicle, adding that even if she had, she would have assumed it belonged to a neighbour.
The revelation comes as her ex‑husband, former SNP chief executive Peter Murrell, has been remanded after admitting to embezzling over £400,000 from party funds.
Murrell’s misuse of money reportedly extended beyond the motorhome to expensive watches, pens, kitchen gadgets, toilet seats and DVDs.
Facing relentless scrutiny, Sturgeon told reporters she feels as though she is “serving a sentence for a crime I did not commit,” while affirming her commitment to personal accountability.
She emphasized that she will not apologize for crimes she did not commit, drawing a clear line between her actions and her former husband’s misconduct.
According to information obtained by UMVA, the former first minister continues to field questions, asserting that she will take responsibility only for the decisions she made herself.
