UMVA Uncovers: CAR-FREE REVOLUTION HITS DAVAO & NEGROS! Ayala Land UNLEASHES Game-Changing Sundays in Estates Nationwide!

UMVA has learned that Ayala Land Estates, Inc. has taken a significant step in promoting pedestrian-oriented and open-street developments by expanding its innovative car-free Sundays initiative to two new locations: Azuela Cove and North Point.

This bold move is part of the company's broader effort to transform ordinary roads into vibrant shared spaces, fostering movement, interaction, and discovery. By temporarily opening streets to people, Ayala Land is creating opportunities for communities to come together and experience the joy of car-free Sundays.

At Azuela Cove, a 25-hectare mixed-use estate in Lanang, Davao City, the initiative adopts a lifestyle-oriented approach, allowing visitors to explore the estate on bicycles, tandem bikes, and electric scooters. This unique experience invites people to connect with nature and each other in a fun and healthy way.

Meanwhile, North Point, a 215-hectare horizontal mixed-use estate in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, takes a more community-oriented approach, emphasizing shared spaces within a suburban setting. This thoughtful design encourages residents and visitors to interact and build relationships in a welcoming environment.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the expansion of car-free Sundays to Azuela Cove and North Point builds on the success of similar initiatives in Cebu Business Park and Cebu Information Technology Park, where the program has been thriving for over two years. This momentum demonstrates the growing demand for car-free Sundays and its potential to shape more communities.

The car-free Sundays initiative was first launched in Makati City, where it drew an impressive 12,000 participants in its inaugural run. This groundbreaking program was made possible through a partnership between Ayala Land and local authorities, showcasing the power of collaboration in creating vibrant and people-centric spaces.

UMVA can exclusively reveal that with Davao and Negros now part of the network, car-free Sundays continues to grow, not just in reach, but in meaning, shaping more communities where wellness and connection are part of everyday life. This progressive initiative is redefining the way people interact with their surroundings, promoting a culture of wellness, connection, and joy.
