Aboitiz Power Corp. has commissioned its 92.55‑megawatt‑peak San Manuel Solar Power Plant in Pangasinan. The new facility adds renewable capacity to the Luzon grid.
Built by the company's renewable energy arm, the plant is now delivering electricity to the grid. The commissioning follows the company's ongoing expansion of solar assets across the region.
San Manuel is the third solar project in Pangasinan by the firm. It follows the 154‑MWp Laoag 1 and 2 plants and the 94‑MWp Cayanga‑Bugallon plant. Together, these projects strengthen the local renewable portfolio.
The renewable portfolio grew from about 900 MW in 2020 to 2.3 GW of net sellable capacity by February 2026. This expansion reflects a strategic shift toward clean energy. The growth positions the company as a leading renewable developer in the Philippines.
Aboitiz Renewables operates 45 renewable sites nationwide, spanning solar, hydro, geothermal, and battery storage. These facilities contribute to a diversified energy mix.
A pipeline of more than 1,800 MW of solar, hydro, and wind projects is under development. The company aims to further expand its renewable footprint.
For 2026, the company has allocated 62 billion pesos in capital expenditures. The focus is on renewable energy and battery storage system projects.
The Aboitiz Group remains the largest power producer in the country, with a total generating capacity of 6,850.63 MW. This accounts for 24.3% of the national market share.
