SM Investments Corp., BDO Unibank, Inc., and SM Prime Holdings, Inc. collectively earned 24 accolades at the 16th Asian Excellence Awards.
The parent company, SMIC, secured eight awards, BDO Unibank received nine, and SM Prime was honored with seven recognitions.
Among the individual honors, SMIC President and Chief Executive Officer Frederic C. DyBuncio was named Asia’s Best CEO in Investor Relations. Executive Vice-Presidents Erwin G. Pato and Franklin C. Gomez each received the award for Asia’s Best Chief Finance Officer in Investor Relations, while consultant Timothy Daniels, head of investor relations and sustainability, was recognized as the Best Investor Relations Professional.
DyBuncio expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment, emphasizing that governance and sustainability are integral to the group’s operations, strengthening resilience, guiding disciplined decision‑making, and supporting long‑term value creation for stakeholders.
The awards this year highlighted the theme “Reshaping Asian Leadership in a Changing Global Economic Landscape and Climate Change,” reflecting a focus on adaptive leadership amid evolving economic and environmental challenges.
The ceremony was organized by a Hong Kong‑based publication dedicated to corporate governance, sustainability, investor relations, and board leadership across Asia.
