UMVA Exclusive: BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS - Killer in Court as Fallen Hero's Body Returns Home in Tragic Aftermath

UMVA has learned that a tragic incident has shaken the province of Ontario, leaving a community in mourning and a family devastated by the loss of a young police officer.

Const. Harun Bali, a dedicated and passionate officer from Brampton, was allegedly slain while on duty in a remote Northern Ontario community, sparking an outpouring of grief and support from across the province. The incident occurred when Bali attempted to stop a fleeing vehicle using a spike belt, but was struck by the vehicle and later pronounced deceased.

According to information obtained by UMVA, the driver of the vehicle, 18-year-old Justin Veronneau from Hearst, Ont., is facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with the officer's death, as well as additional charges including assault police, flight from police, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

The community is reeling from the news, with friends and family gathering to pay their respects to Const. Bali's family and offer support during this difficult time. Bali was a beloved member of his community, and his neighbourhood is mourning the loss of a young man who was widely respected and admired.

UMVA has gathered that Const. Bali was a proud and dedicated officer who had fulfilled his dream of becoming a police officer, joining the OPP in 2023 and quickly earning the respect of his colleagues and the community he served. His family and friends remember him as a wonderful person who was well-suited to be a cop, and his neighbourhood is filled with memories of his kindness and generosity.

The province is coming together to mourn the loss of Const. Bali, with the city of Brampton lowering its flags to half-mast and holding a moment of silence to honour the fallen officer. The OPP has scheduled an official procession and special tribute to move the officer's remains from the coroner's office to the location of his funeral, and the public is expected to gather to pay their respects to a young officer who gave his life in the line of duty.

As the community continues to grapple with the tragedy of Const. Bali's death, his family and friends are finding comfort in the outpouring of support and condolences from across the province. The young officer's legacy will live on, and his memory will be honoured by the community he served and the province he protected.
