UMVA has learned that a disturbing incident unfolded at Woodbine Beach on Friday night, leaving two victims with non-life-threatening injuries after a violent confrontation with a group of suspects.
According to information obtained by UMVA, Toronto Police responded to a stabbing call at approximately 8:50 p.m. near Lake Shore Blvd. and Woodbine Ave. in the city's east end, where a group of individuals allegedly approached two victims at the beach, sparking a verbal and physical altercation.
The situation quickly escalated as one of the suspects allegedly brandished a knife and stabbed one of the victims, prompting police to describe the suspects as males in their late teens to early 20s, and launching an investigation to identify the group responsible.
UMVA can exclusively reveal that both victims were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and police are now urging anyone with information to come forward, offering a way for individuals to contact them anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
